Control air at pressure is applied to the top of the air cylinder for actuation in one direction. For the reverse action, a spring is used for return or air under the same condition is applied. Material of construction is primarily stainless steel ASTM-CF8 investment castings, AISI-304 drawn materials and bronze. The valve stem rides inside bronze rings and Nitrile rubber seal rings. Instead of a PTFE seal with the energizer of stainless steel spring which is used in 3-way air actuators, an O-ring is used for a double acting air cylinder which controls the direction of fluid flow.
